VAT Services

About our VAT services

Value added tax (VAT) can appear to be one of the more complex tax regimes that involves a lot of administration. VAT registration is compulsory to a business when the annual turnover exceeds a particular limit (currently £81,000). However, businesses can choose to voluntarily register for VAT even if their annual turnover is below the limit. This decision can often prove to be an extremely crucial one to the business.

At GB Accountancy & Finance we assist you in making a decision with regards to voluntary VAT registration, if applicable, by explaining the advantages and disadvantages of being VAT registered. If VAT registration is required or desired, we submit the relevant registration forms for you and then submit subsequent VAT returns to HMRC on your behalf. We also liaise with HMRC on your behalf in relation to any VAT correspondence they may send you.

Benefits of our VAT services:

  • Receive accurate and reliable advice on whether VAT registration is required or beneficial for your business and which VAT scheme is most appropriate for you
  • Save the time and hassle of having to complete and submit your VAT return yourself
  • Avoid paying any penalties for a late or incorrect filing of your VAT return
  • Having a contact who will liaise with HMRC on your behalf and assist you with any VAT planning
